Got a chance yesterday to participate in a lunch event at the Residence of the Ambassador of Netherlands. This devilishly simple looking 3 course meal was just perfect. My favourite was the first and the last course. The creaminess of the Avacado Mousse along with the tartness of grated tomato was just divine. The last dish was Panna Cotta. It was my first time and ranks easily among the best desserts I’ve had!
This building was at some point Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s residence and this was Jinnah’s study, where apparently the India-Pakistan partition was discussed. Presently this is the residence of the Ambassador of Netherlands.

This was our lunch at the Coast Cafe last weekend. Everything we had was wonderful except for one โ the oil soaked Malabar Parotta.
We had Calamari fries, Broccoli and Beans Salad with Asian Pesto, Malabar Kokum fish curry and Mutton Sukka. All of them were delectable and you should definitely try them out.
However for me, the Appam and Parotta at @Mahabelly still rock my world!!

Grate a tomato, slather it on a slice of bread (preferably baguette), sprinkle some salt, drizzle some olive oil if you have.

Perch Wine & Coffee Bar, Khan Market
This was our meal at Perch when me met a friend there last week. The cheese platter was excellent and was great with our drinks. The roasted garlic gnocchi and wild mushroom risotto were top notch. Rest all were passable.

Went for Rustom’s 2nd Anniversary ‘Greatest Hits Tasting Menu’ and absolutely loved it. Rush there tomorrow. Only available for lunch and dinner one more day!!
Top to bottom, left then right - Akoori (soft scrambled egg), utterly butterly delicious pav, Chicken Farcha (pan fried masala chicken), Eeda (egg) chutney pattice, supremely flavorful kheema samosa and Kolmi (prawn) kabab!
Main Course : Parsi roti, Vegetables in coconut milk gravy, bheeda (bhindi) in spiced yogurt gravy, Fish in sweet-sour gravy, kolmi (prawn) pulao.
Main Course (contd.): Shirazi Mutton pulao, Jardali Marghi (Chicken cooked with dried apricots) with salli (potato crisps).
Desserts : Caramel Custard, Lagnu (wedding) na custard and Mawa Cake. The simple Caramel Custard was just spot on with the right tinge of bitterness from the Caramel!
