When I heard “Murukku Sandwich”, I assumed he would place crushed murukku inside a regular sandwich. But this roadside vendor in #Sowcarpet was innovative in using these tiny murukku as bread for the sandwich. And between two murukku there were tiny slithers of cucumber, tomato, onion and chutney. That’s pretty good #FusionFood I would say! It was super fun to eat too!!

Went on a food walk of sorts with @rgokul, @iownrgokul, @renganv around Sowcarpet, Chennai.
The highlight of the evening was the decadent Podi Idli and Podi Uthappam at Seena Bhai Tiffin Centre. The place serves just those two dishes and the crowds can’t have enough of it. Don’t go there if you watch your oil intake. They drench the Idli and Uthappam in Ghee! Of course, we totally loved it😍

What a lovely meal at Junior Kuppanna! Definitely one of the best Chicken 65 I’ve tasted. Atlast a decent Parotta place in Chennai. And the only place I like Biryani other than my mom’s. This is going to be our frequent haunt in Chennai!

We had long awaited for an occasion to dine in @masalalibrary and finally it came in the form of the 10th anniversary.
If @indianaccent was style with substance, Masala Library was more style than substance. Of the dishes we ordered, we felt focus was more on fusing the different styles and cuisines, than the end result. But not all was lost, here are some of the dishes we enjoyed – Mango in jellied form with Coconut milk presented as a cracked egg, Galouti abab on an extremely soft Khamiri roti, Cod fish Kichidi which was more of a risotto and dehydrated and candied orange. The one we really loved was Jalebi Caviar served in a conch with rabri and saffron air!
