Eau de Monsoon, Delhi

A week ago we had been to Eau de Monsoon in Le Meridien as part of the Restaurant Week offer. These were the beautiful cutlery. Loved the golden patterns on the black plate.

If I remember right, this was called Cauliflower Cappuccino. It was a palate cleanser before the meal began at Eau de Monsoon. Very earthy flavor of Cauliflower, cream and mushroom (I think!)

The starters we had from the Restaurant Week menu of Eau de Monsoon. Top is Chicken Tikka along with Olive Khasta and sundried tomatoes, garlic and pink peppercorn jelly. Bottom is Mushrooms stuffed with goat cheese and chili, served with banana wafers. All were super yummy!

Had this wonderful vegetarian meal at @burmaburmaindia a few weeks ago.

Throughly enjoyed the food. So much were we engrossed in the conversation and food that I totally missed taking picture of the main course :D

Artwork on ceiling at the entrance of Ajmer Junction.

A while ago I read about an initiative to paint railway stations in Rajasthan with local art work. During my vacation a week ago, got to see it in person. You could easily hurt craning your neck to keep looking at this beautiful work of art on the ceiling.

The screening was followed by Q&A with the director Ram Reddy.

A morning well spent in pounding a batch of ‘Thalavakaram’ under the watchful eyes of The Missus.

The taste difference in making a ground paste using a mixer / grinder / food processor and using a pounding stone / ammi kal are worlds apart. The oil extracted from condiments by the pounding action makes the effort totally worth it.

Had a wonderful dinner at @ziurestaurant as part of the @dinefestin. Loved their Tom Yum soup and Khao Suey noodles. Among the desserts the Coconut Tiramisu was amazing.

@anuradhag86 remembered your post about these chocolates when I saw them in the counter.

Had one of my best coffees ever at @bluetokaicoffee.

Tried their Aeropress brew of Attikan estate’s Arabica, which was so bloody smooth. We also tasted their Capuccino and Coconut flavoured Mocha which were amazing as well. Highly recommend them.
